About us
Pat is an experienced business leader who focuses on strategic priorities and building a performance management culture with integrity, ethics, and a facilitative, team-oriented approach. Known for skillfully leading teams through organizational and cultural change, Pat has built high-performance leadership teams from the ground up and driven culture change through transparent communication and disruptive suggestions.
Throughout his career, he has have never shied away from challenges and some of his proudest accomplishments have come from situations that required courage, resiliency and leading in difficult times.
A recognized transformative coach and master facilitator, Pat has also had P & L responsibility of more than $100 million.
Before establishing Leadership Done Right, Pat was most recently the chief operating officer and executive vice-president of strategy with Hockey Canada. Earlier in his career, Pat was the CEO of Edge School, held a series of senior portfolios with J.D. Irving Limited, including positions in leadership and organizational development, and was the vice-president of brand with the Edmonton Oilers.
Pat previously served on the board of directors for the Hockey Hall of Fame and the Calgary Flames Saddledome Foundation, chaired Hockey New Brunswick’s strategic planning committee and was a member of the Canadian Sports School Hockey League’s executive committee.
Outside of work, he has twenty-three years of volunteer involvement with high–performance coaching and administration at the local, provincial and national level.
A graduate of Mount Allison University, Pat was a student-athlete with the Mounties for four seasons before earning a professional tryout with the Calgary Flames.
Pat and his wife Cindy live in Calgary and have been happily married for over 30 years. They have two wonderful children and grandchildren.
